Getting the crafting mojo back...

It seems like for the past few weeks my crafting mojo had been stolen.  Thankfully, just as Austin found that he had his mojo all along, I found that mine had just needed a brief respite.  This weekend it returned in full force.  I have managed to do more crafting in 2 days than I had done in the entire month before.  I would love to get this consistency thing that all these other bloggers seem to have.  Someday....

The weekend started off with some thrifting.  I have decided to be a little more fiscally conservative and give rice krispee treats to my cousins and their families for Christmas this year.  I wanted to pick up some pretty tins to pack them into.  It was a score!  I found 9 for $5.  SCORE!  I only needed 4, so another 3 of them went to housing these:

Aunt Burr's fabulous chocolate chip cookies.  I have dreams about these things.  They rock my socks off.  I like to make them as bribes thank you gifts for people.  We are leaving for Texas nest weekend to visit Mr. Amazing's family, and I thought it would be nice to bring an offering of some kind.

In addition to baking some cookies, I decided to work on the pajamas I have been meaning to make.  You know when you see a piece of fabric, and you just know right away what you want to make with it?  That's how I felt when I saw this lightweight, semi-sheer fabric.  I wanted a nightgown.  I only had about 1.5 yards, so I used the sundress pattern from one yard wonders.

It came together pretty quickly, and I just love the way the fabric and the style look together.  I'm not going to try it on for you, because I really don't think you want to see that much of me.  It's a little too tight over the hips, but is otherwise fits nicely.  The first time I made this pattern the bust was far too big, so I scaled it down to a small, then flared the skirt from a small to a large.  Next time, I would try to widen the skirt overall and just gather it more at the bodice junction.

Last, I decided it was high time to try making some rick-rack rosettes.  I like the effect, and they seemed really easy to make.  I decided I wanted to make them into some barrettes:
I really need to do some research on a more effective glue for affixing the rosettes to the barrettes.  I used hot glue, and they seem pretty fragile.  Maybe superglue?

Do you ever have times when your crafting mojo disappears?  How do you overcome it?
